Week 9 - Product Category Training

Assignment: Product Training Sessions

As the sun begins to shine and the door chime starts ringing, it's important to reacclimate ourselves with some of the products that don't come up during an Ohio winter. This week we're going to brush up on a few key product lines using the Product Category Training Worksheet.

At each huddle this week, assign the products under each category to members of your team (some people may need to do multiple items, depending on the size of the staff on that day), and set a time for a discussion. Individually fill out the worksheet for your products, then bring your ideas to the group during the discussion session.

In its essence, this worksheet is a qualifying exercise: we're trying to decide the products that best connect to customer dots so we can make clear, confident recommendations to our customers. At the end of each discussion you should feel comfortable knowing which product will best serve each "type" of customer shopping in that category, with available backup options for price objections.
